Parasite Movie Explanation - The director's movie centering on a pair of Seoul families - one super wealthy, one living in squalor - seems set to become South Korea's 1st Oscar-nominated film.
When South Korean filmmaker Bong Joon Ho was in his beginning 20s, he took a position as a tutor for the son of a wildly wealthy household in Seoul.
The family occupied a palatial home with the city's most exclusive élément, and Bong, who were raised in considerably less magnificent circumstances, was to be the kid's math tutor. He'd been introduced to the family, somewhat oscuro, by his girlfriend at the time - now his wife of more than 20 years - who has been already tutoring the child in English. "They wished another tutor for mathematics, so she put me personally forward as a trustworthy buddy, even though I was actually really bad at math, very well Bong explains. "That's how it works with those work opportunities. It's not as if they put out and about lots of ads looking for household help - you're introduced. "

Ki-woo realizes this individual needs to flirt with Da-hye to get the job, and he can - Mrs. Park compensates him an exorbitant cost and mentions they need a form of art tutor for Da-song. Da-song had a traumatic event where he saw a "ghost" in the house and had a seizure and has been needing help with his art. Ki-woo presents them to Ki-jung, who forges documents for herself as well as goes by "Jessica, " as well as she too begins making money hand over fist. When the Park's limo driver takes your ex home, Ki-jung leaves your ex underwear in the car in order to get the dog fired: she then suggests her "Uncle" as the brand-new driver - who is genuinely Ki-taek. The last position is the one about the housekeeper, Moon-kwang (Lee Jeung-eun). She has worked for the home since before the Area family lived there - she worked for the prior owner, an eccentric creator. In order to get her fired, the Kims exploit her allergy or intolerance to peaches, causing her to have allergic reactions: they then convince Mrs. Park that the girl with seriously contagiously ill as well as cannot be around their boy. She leaves, devastated, and Mrs. Kim is given the work, fooling the Park household into hiring the entire Kim family.
The Kim household enjoys their massive boost of income, and when typically the Park family decides for you to leave to go camping regarding Da-song's birthday weekend, they take the opportunity to stay in the large Park house for the weekend. They spend the evening drinking and eating and making a mess of the place if the doorbell rings: it's Moon-kwang. She claims she was fired so quickly the lady left without being able to get a thing and just wants it back again. Mrs. Kim reluctantly allows her in, and Moon-kwang runs into the basement and also begins screaming, opening a secret passage behind a few shelves. She goes to the girl husband, Geun-sae (Park Myung-hoon), who has secretly been living within the bunker ever since the previous proprietor moved out in order to disguise from loan sharks. The girl gives him food when Mrs. Kim looks in in horror - this lady tells Moon-kwang she needs to leave, and as Moon-kwang begs her to let them stay, the rest of the Kim family (who had been eavesdropping) falls off of the stairs and into see - and they call the other person "dad, " etc ., which often Moon-kwang films on her mobile phone, realizing the con the household has pulled. She poises to send it to the Area family and uses that thus she and her partner can force the Ellie family to do their bidding.
The Kim family deals with to get the upper hand on them, getting them into the secret bunker, but the Park family calls: they've canceled their camping trip due to rain and will be home in eight minutes. The actual Kims scramble, trying to clean up as much mess as they could, keeping the other two in the basement. They manage to perform a good enough job that the rest of the family is able to hide whilst Mrs. Kim gives the Parks their dinner - while Moon-kwang breaks out and runs upstairs, Mrs. Kim shoves her back down the stairs, where she hits the girl head and is severely hurt. Moon-kwang and Geun-sae tend to be locked in the bunker. Mr.. and Mrs. Park wind up sleeping in the living room to keep an eye on Da-song who will be camping out in the backyard, pushing the Kims to stay beneath the table, frozen all night, each and every the Parks complain about Mr. Kim's smell : and then later, have sex. Eventually, in the dead of night, they are able to sneak out and about. They return home to discover their apartment completely flooded with rain and sewage. Ki-woo takes the rock and roll, and the family sleeps in the shelter for the night.
The very next day, Mrs. Park decides for you to throw an impromptu party for Da-song. The Ellie family, in their roles since help, are invited and still have to pretend that they don't know that there are two people locked inside a bunker under the house. Ki-woo takes the rock into the bunker, where Moon-kwang has died and is ambushed by Geun-sae, who bludgeons him in the head with the rock. He then enters the particular party, where he stabs Ki-jung in the chest. The actual party explodes into fear, and Da-song has a seizure - Geun-sae was the "ghost" he had seen in the house before. Mr. Park screams from his driver, Mr. Ellie - who is trying to stop Ki-jung's bleeding - for your car keys to take their son to the hospital, as well as throws them to him. These people land under Geun-sae, who will be fighting with Mrs. Kim. She manages to eliminate him by stabbing the dog with a meat skewer. Mr. Park will get the keys however expresses disgusts at Geun-sae's smell - this causes Mr. Kim, who button snaps and stabs Mr. Park, killing him. Mrs. Playground faints as Mr. Kim flees.
Ki-woo wakes up from the hospital, where he had held it's place in a coma for days. He finds out that Ki-jung has died, and he as well as Mrs. Kim are sentenced to probation. There has been zero sign of Mr. Kim, even though the police have been seeking him for Mr. Park's murder far and wide. Ki-woo simply leaves the rock in a sea and observes the former Recreation area house where he views the lights flickering : Ki-woo explicates the flickering from Morse code, and also learns Mr. Kim is controlling them from inside the batterie, where he is now lifestyle, sneaking upstairs for foods from the new masters. Ki-woo writes his father any letter back, resolving in which someday he will become rich enough that he can buy your house and their loved ones can be reunited.
